David Baskeyfield provides an improvised accompaniment to Universal Pictures’ 1923 film based on Victor Hugo’s 1831 novel, featuring Lon Chaney as the hunchback bellringer Quasimodo.

In 1977, the Voyager 1 spacecraft was launched into deep space carrying items representative of human life. A crewmember suggested sending the complete works of J. S. Bach, with the proviso, “but that would be boasting.” David Baskeyfield presents a recital of works by the great master.
